Welcome to Faberllull
Faberllull is a network of residencies for the arts, sciences and humanities located in the cites of Olot (Catalonia), La Massana (Andorra) and Palma de Mallorca ( Balearic Islands) managed by the Institut Ramon Llull in collaboration with Olot's town council, the Government of Andorra, the Government of Balearic Islands, and Palma's town council
It is a place for professionals from the fields of the arts, sciences or humanities (writers, translators, artists of diverse disciplines, scholars and scientists and so on) come to work on their personal projects for a time. To this end, Faberllull offers two types of residencies:
On the one hand, thematic residencies programmed throughout the year, during which professionals from the fields of the arts, sciences or humanities can come to work and share experiences with other residents for a few days. During their stay, the residents will collaborate in different kinds of activities directed at students, professionals or the general public. The activities will be carried out in accordance with a project, taking into account previous demands and necessities. We provide a space for stay, to work and exchange. We are very respectful of each resident’s time and project process. Even so, it is not a place of retreat where to isolate oneself from others; we want residents to be able to learn from each other and to have exchanges during return activities as well. The profile of residents that we are looking for is of people who need a space and time for productive work, people who want to share their project with other residents and create a friendly and supportive community.
On the other hand, individual residencies that all professionals from the Arts, Sciences or Humanities fields can apply to come and work on their professional projects for a few days.
People who are interested in some of these residencies can read more about them on Candidates.
Faberllull is a partner of Resartis, a Worldwide Network of Arts Residencies, whose objective is to support and connect residencies, engage and advocate the importance of residencies in today’s society, and provide recommendations towards cultural mobility research and policy.
