Project

During her stay at Faberllull Julieta will continue with the development of her project “Cover”, a theoretical and visual research on the materiality of curtains and their significance as a dividing element between the public and the private, the intimate and the social, where functionality and ornament converge.

My stay at Faberllull offered me an alternative time and space that was essential for me to reconnect with my research in a new (and necessary) way. The days in Olot worked as a parenthesis where I could manage my own time — an interval of serenity and mindfulness that led me to establish new and unexpected connections. At the same time, meeting other residents at dinner each evening was a counterpoint to the solo work and a chance to collectively reconstruct the meaning of the individual experience, which was extremely stimulating.
