 For the first time, Faberllull is bringing together a group of translators (from Catalan to other languages) of the work of Mireia Calafell, one of the internationally best-known Catalan poets today, who will be present at the meeting.

In a double celebration, the event is a tribute to contemporary Catalan poetry and to the work of poetry translators, the voice of poets around the world. Because thanks to translators, a poet's verses cross borders and can be read in other languages. 

This meeting is a valuable opportunity for translators to get to know Calafell, her work and her sources of inspiration and influence from other poets. It is also a unique chance to work on poems from her latest book Si una emergència (If An Emergency) (2023) alone or in a team and to meet other professionals to grow the translator network. Finally, the meeting seeks to draw translators to works of Catalan poetry they were unaware of and translate them into their own languages. To this end, a talk on Catalan poetry will take place. 

Finally, with the help of Mireia Calafell, the translators will attend her latest poetic show Emergències! (Emergencies!) with musician Nil Ciuró.
