Talk by Marta Grau on the resources and techniques screenwriters use
Marta Grau, Faber Andorra resident, shared the craft of screenwriting in a talk this Thursday at the Public Library of the Andorran Government, in Andorra la Vella. In her talk titled Com es crea una sèrie: de Shakespeare al serial televisiu actual (How to create a series: from Shakespeare to TV today), Grau looked at the invisible links between literary and playwriting traditions and popular TV fiction today. Through examples, the filmmaker showed how resources invented by literary and playwriting greats are still used today to connect with audiences.
She also shared how screenwriters work on fictional TV series and daily serials. Marta Grau shared the creative process with the Andorran audience, starting from the initial idea and continuing on through script writing, shooting on set and editing, and finishing with what we see on the TV screen.
Screenwriter and author Marta Grau will still be in Andorra for a few more days, writing her fifth novel La muntanya més alta no és a l’Himàlaia. Grau arrived at Faber Andorra on 27 April and will be there through Tuesday 21 May.
