North-American translator AK Kaiser reflected on the business of translating with B2 English students at the Olot Official Language School. Kaiser explained the translation process and the specifics of translating poetry.  

During their chat, several anecdotes about her work came up and Kaiser shared some of the resources she uses. The students were particularly interested in knowing why she decided to learn Catalan and translate texts from this language.  

AK Kaiser is a poet and translator. Among others, she has translated works by Catalan poet Anna Gual and by Catalan translator and town planner Cebrià Montoliu. At Faber, she is working to expand her collection of poems Tongue.s tongue.s, which includes several verses on tongues and language.
