Coinciding with the celebration of the 9th edition of the international postgraduate course in Volcanology (Olot's town council, FES, CSIC, UdG, IAVCEI) in the city of Olot, Faberllull Olot invites six specialists in volcanology from various countries to stay at the residence of the October 15-22, 2021. During their stay, residents will participate in the seminar "The role of volcanoes in modern society" and will give several lectures on volcanology aimed at the general public nd also specific talks for the educational centers of the region. Specifically, the guest specialists are Drs. Arman Hoskuldsson (University of Iceland), Þorvaldur Þórðarson (University of Iceland), Gerardo Aguirre-Diaz (National Autonomous University of Mexico, UNAM), Bruno Scaillet (Institute of Earth Sciences, CNRS, France), Joan Andujar (Institute of Earth Sciences, CNRS, France) and Antonio Brum De Silveira (University of Lisbon).
