Death Café, with Mireia Ibáñez, at Casal de Sant Miquel
Mireia Ibáñez moderated a 'death café' at the Casal de Sant Miquel d'Olot last Friday, where a group of people sat in a circle to discuss dying. Each person gave their view on the topic, how they imagine it and what feelings it suggests to them, and together they started a conversation around the theme. The activity was jointly organised by Faberllull, the Garrotxa Social Action Consortium and the Catalan Health Institute.
Mireia Ibáñez Cid was staying at Faberllull to write a work aimed at opening up discussions around death as an essential part of understanding life. Combining fragments of essay with poetry, her goal is to build a new collective story around the subject.
