First work sessions with translators of Nordic languages
The translators taking part in the seminar on translating Nordic languages began their group work sessions today. This morning, literary agent Marina Penalva told them about the relationship between the Catalan and Nordic literary markets.
Today, the sessions are continuing with a joint translation of Permagel, by Eva Baltasar, and a discussion of translators’ role in the publishing value chain.
Tomorrow, the translators will focus on translations of classic Catalan, Swedish and Danish works and on Thursday, they will look at excerpts from children’s and young adult literature and poetry.
