Premiere of 'Ombres silencioses', the Hackathon short

13 days after the Hackathon kicked off, the young participants premiered their short film Ombres silencioses with a screening at El Modern, Centre Audiovisual i Digital de Girona. The film tells the story of Alba, a young woman who is passionate about photography, and her two childhood friends Hug and Martí. They discover a photo album and are drawn into the hidden history behind one of the pictures. A combination of drama and mystery that has the audience hooked from the very first moment.

This short film was shot in Olot and Girona as part of the Hackathon cinema residency for young talents that kicked off on 1 February at Faberllull. As soon as they arrived, the filmmakers did a first read-through of the script and then got to work on pre-production. After scouting for locations, rehearsing the scene and locking down the shooting script, they started filming on Tuesday 6 February. The film was shot two days in Olot and a third on the sound stages at El Modern, Centre Audiovisual i Digital de Girona.

Then it was time for post-production, including editing, sound and colour correction. Through all this work, they created a 10-minute short film that they premiered today for employees at the Faberllull residence hall and the El Modern audiovisual centre. Now they hope to take it to festivals all over the world.
