Several organizations of the Alt Empordà welcomed for a morning the community leaders of the Transrural Residence co-organized together with Balkar.Earth. In front of the Mediterranean and with the old Empòrium city as a stage, we spent a morning with talks about the importance of the community in individual and collective wellbeing. We gave a lot of space to talk about the origins of the people, and once again the conversations led us to recognize how disconnected we are from the land, from the territory, from our popular and ancestral history and memory. We became aware that the people of Monica and Rita are very attached to the land, to the environment, to the customs and traditions, to their culture, to the community. And in the West we have had all this at some point in our history but we have lost it, we have disconnected. To listen to them is to look for that in our inner self, it is to take it back, to become conscious and to walk to recover this connection with the earth, with nature, with our community.
