Korean writer Lee Hong taught the Modern Korean Literature workshop on Tuesday, May 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

At the Workshop, the author briefly introduced the situation of literary creation in Korea and gave the floor to the workshop participants to comment on the story "The Rear View Mirror on Highway 50". Literary topics were discussed, such as the structure and style of the work, and social content, such as the situation of women in Korea and the relationship between capitalism and motherhood.

In the final round of questions, the discussion turned to the importance of translation, the relationship between the translator and the writer and the working conditions of both. The exchange with thirty participants, which lasted until 1 p.m., offered the possibility of reflection both to students of the East Asian Studies Degree, for the Korean literature part, and to those of the Translation Degree and Interpretation, for the work part and showed the growing interest in Korea and its literature.
