Encountered with one of the artists of the Tallers d'art de la Massana, Alfons Valdés, resident in Andorra since 1974, has a long career of more than 45 years of collective and individual exhibitions both in Andorra and abroad . He studied Fine Arts at the Sant Julià de Lòria School of Arts with Sergi Mas, and Architecture at the ETSA in Barcelona. He co-founded group A in Andorra (1984) and the group La Xarranca, of which he was president from 1996 to 1999. After the dissolution of the group, he re-founded it in 2016. He also won the Àgora Cultural l award. in 2020.

Valdés is one of the artists selected to work at the La Massana Art Workshops for the next 6 months. He will use the new space provided by the Ministry of Culture and Sports to continue his artistic career working on the different projects he has started.
