Sonia Antinori presents her theatrical company’s fifteen-year trajectory
Sonia Antinori's presentation focused on narrating her theatrical company’s fifteen-year trajectory. MALTE which is based in Ancona, Italy, is committed to dramaturgy, with a strong vocation for transculturalism and the application of multilingualism in the theatre. The company can count on numerous international collaborations with which it has been able to explore social, scientific and economic issues, both in terms of research and production, often interacting with the host communities. This has allowed Europeans of advanced age to discuss the ethical and political challenges of the present with each other and with students and academics. It has also given individuals from migrant backgrounds the opportunity to address the difficulties of their personal experiences thanks to the mending role of artistic practices. The meeting was followed by a teaser on the decalogue of director Milo Rau, a great innovator of theatre and advocate of the use of multilingualism for a new inclusive society, and a debate with the participants.
