Last Thursday, October 7, the last collective session of the “Be (p) art. Grow with arts », organized jointly by PEN Català and Faberllull Olot. The meeting, which took place in the meeting room of the residence hall and was moderated by the writer Sebastià Portell, revolved around one of the main axes of work of PEN Català: freedom of expression. Throughout this, the participants of the activity, coming from cultural systems such as Serbian, Hungarian, Flemish, Galician or Catalan, shared with the rest the state in which freedom is in their place of origin and tried to answer the question: how do we write about what we dare not write? The meeting was a space for the exchange of experiences and impressions, and ended with an intense debate on possible ways to combat totalitarianism, the rise of the far right in Europe or how to address issues such as this from the activity literary.
