Opinion of Cinema-scriptwriting resident groups

First of all, we would like to thank you for the experience and the opportunity we have been given in this first edition of the Faberllull screenwriting residency.

It has been a very profitable two weeks where we have been able to work in depth and make our film scripts grow. It is a privilege to have a programme like this. We believe that it is very necessary that residencies that support creation and development in these areas, which are always so forgotten, are taken forward and approved. Investing in the development of screenplays is essential to achieve quality filmmaking.

It has also been very important to share our projects with our colleagues, both from a professional and human point of view, as writing is usually a solitary process. It has been a luxury to be in a privileged environment and with a group of people who question you and help you to make the project grow.

We consider that there has been an excellent selection of mentors and companions during the residency. Faberllull organisation made us feel at home at all times and covered our needs. Riu Fluvià Hotel has been the perfect cradle for our projects and for our stay.

Coming from such a complex situation and relationship as the pandemic we have all lived through, finding ourselves in a community has generated bonds and a sense of comfort in a sector that is often isolated from these feelings. This has also favoured synergies between our projects.

We reiterate our thanks to the faberllull team, the Catalan Film Academy, the GAC and the Hotel Riu Fluvià.

We hope to meet again soon.
