Slow temporalties in artistic creation and productions’s debate in Eram University School (Girona)
Dolça Alcanyís and Clàudia Vicens present a debate at the Eram University School (Girona) about the relationship between artistic creation and time has been the centerpiece of this debate. We've reflected on long time creative process viability in the paradigm of cultural and creative industries managed by productivity, hypertechnology and acceleration.
We've come to the conclusion that is necessary to rethink and create other temporalities for creation, teaching and artistic investigation. In order to do it, we need to contemplate structural changes instead of sectoral proposals. We've talked about possible demands to reach citizen's daily welfare, such as the reduction of working time, four-day working week or universal basic pension. In this way, we've observed possible economic alternatives like feminist or social and solidarity economies, which are extremely urgent nowadays.
