Weaving a conversation about nature and learning
The workshop took place in the hotel’s garden and was attended by 23 people, most of them educators, all women. It began with a brief presentation of the approach and methodology. The facilitator then gave the floor to the participants. The conversation was conducted with fluency, listening and respect. Ideas, memories, intuitions, sensations, images, experiences and intimate emotions in relation to nature were shared. The contributions showed a high aesthetic and ecological sensitivity, a strong awareness of the personal bond with the natural world, the recognition of its importance for the mental and physical health of people (and in particular children), as well as its role in the incorporation of values, the acquisition of knowledge and the development of skills. Finally, some conclusions were made. The participants expressed their personal satisfaction with the dynamic and their willingness to transfer it to their professional lives.
