As part of my activities during the Faber Residence, I achieved two important activities at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and its Graduate School of Communications and Journalism. Before the attendance of more than 80 students and faculty in two sessions. Lecture on Diversity, citizen participation and the fall of the Puerto Rican government, the summer of 2019. We identified the actions taken by the government of the city of San Juan, which in one established the criteria of freedom of expression, respect for diversity and equity. The participation of students, with questions about the facts and what should be the actions of communications professionals in ethical dilemmas in the face of pressure from the central power of a government. On the other hand, another two important actions were the interviews with Nuria Ballester-Director for the Museu Pau Casals, and Keneth Martinez Molina, Mayor of El Vendrell in Tarragona, one of the cities within my research where I managed to hold a work session with direct results of exchange projects within the twinning agreements of cities, as a concrete sample of cultural diversity and inclusion policies.
