Good Practices to be More Sustainable in the Performing Arts

Good Practices to be More Sustainable in the Performing Arts

The residents of the "Environmental Sustainability in the Performing Arts" programme have been learning different examples of good practices in this area. Yesterday morning they heard what is being done at the EiMA and Oerol festivals (Mallorca and Netherlands) and how the interdisciplinary company Byström Källblad (Sweden) has pivoted to become more planet-friendly.

In the afternoon, the residents talked with the organisers of the Sismògraf festival (Olot), which has spent years prioritising sustainability in all its dimensions. Today will be the turn to discover the experience of the company El Conde de Torrefiel (Barcelona).

The residents will use these specific cases to discuss thinking about, activating and strengthening sustainability measures across the performing arts. There will also be time to reflect on the testing process of the Theatre Green Book tools.

The residency is promoted by the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (ICEC) and the Institut Ramon Llull.
