Historian and Cambridge University professor Dr. Jean-Michel Johnston met with historian Pau Chica from the Department of Cultural Heritage at the Andorran Government to discuss the history of Andorra and the historiographical challenges facing the country.

Dr. Johnston is in Andorra to take part in the Faber Andorra programme. His goal is to continue his research on the history of the four European microstates: Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein and San Marino.

In addition to the meeting with the Department of Cultural Heritage, he visited the National Archives to consult several documents that can help him advance in his research.

The historian highlighted the fact that globalisation has provided new opportunities to microstates, which have been able to be more agile than the major powers.
