Finnish translator and resident Satu Ekman will be the first Faber resident to offer an activity open to the general public. Ekman, translator of bestselling Catalan novels Victus and El violí d’Auschwitz, will deliver a lecture about the work of literary translators in order to celebrate International Translation Day, on Friday the 30th of September. The lecture will take place at Faber, which is currently located at Hotel Riu Fluvià, in Olot, at 7 o’clock in the evening. Together with Satu Ekman, her colleagues at the residence –writers Angelina Polonskaia, Jorge Galán, Noufel Bouzeboudja and Erga Netz– will participate in the activity.

This shall be the first open activity Faber organises, after the press launch on September 22nd.
