Eva Arasa Teaches Creative Writing Workshop at Marià Vayreda Library

Journalist and writer Eva Arasa Altamira offered a creative writing workshop for adults at the Marià Vayreda Library in Olot on Saturday. The workshop combined reflections and practices to address common challenges when starting out as a writer, such as writer's block, insecurities and a lack of references. Ms Arasa wanted to make it a close and inspiring space that could foster creativity and bonds with the community via literature.

Eva Arasa (Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra) has published poetry, short stories and novels. Her works include Les oliveres i altres paisatges perduts (Olive Trees and Other Lost Landscapes) (2020), Cossos estranys (Foreign Bodies) (2024) and L’ànima separada del cos (The Soul Separated from the Body) (2025). She has won the Miquel Martí i Pol poetry award (2013), second prize in the Núvol short story competition (2020) and the Pirineu Literary Narration award (2022). She will be staying at the Faberllull Olot residence until 24 November to complete the draft of her second crime novel.
