Februrary 2025
Faberllull Olot transforms into musical residency for the week Javier Quislant (Bilbao, 1984) is the resident composer of the Xarxa de Músiques of the Joventuts Musicals de Catalunya. These days, he will be preparing the two pieces they will debut soon on the Joventuts Musicals concert tour.
One of the pieces will be debuted by the Hèlix Trio, winners of the first La Flama award, which features a pianist, violinist and cellist. The La Flama awards aim to boost new chamber-music groups established in Catalonia. Another of the scores will be taken to the stage by Mallorca pianist Joan Miquel Fiol.
The Faberllull residency will focus on rehearsals, which will take up most of their time. However, the musicians will also get to share their pieces in a concert for the students at Escola Municipal de Música d’Olot.
After their stay, the two groups will set off on a concert tour, taking the new compositions to various stages.
