Bio
Odile Auboin has won two first prizes for viola and chamber music from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. She trained further at Yale University (USA) and then honed her craft with Bruno Giuranna in Cremona (Italy) She won the Valentino Bucchi International Competition in Rome.
Her creativeness and role as a soloist with the Ensemble Intercontemporain since 1995 have given her the privilege of working with some of the great composers of the second half of the 20th century, such as György Kurtág and Pierre Boulez.
She is an active member of Collège Contemporain, a group of composers, performers and musicologists, and takes part in collective projects to create and share music.
Odile Auboin is an assistant professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.
