Bio

Winner of first prize in the Juventudes Musicales de España competition, Mallorca pianist Joan Miquel Fiol started studying music when he was four years old. He has worked on Mallorca with Irek Jagla and Diana de Lauzón, and has won the main piano competitions on the island. At 17, he expanded his training with Marta Zabaleta at Musikene, Higher School of Music of the Basque Country, and has also taken masterclasses with great pianists like Gustavo Díaz-Jerez, Maciej Pikulski, Ricardo Descalzo, Noelia Rodiles, Benedicte Palko, Loïc Mallie and David Lively.

During his time in the Basque Country, he performed many concerts in Spain, Portugal and France. After finishing his studies in 2021, he did a master in Performance with Miguel Borges and has received guidance from Pedro Burmester.

He is currently working as a concert pianist, both as a soloist and in duos.
