The Screenplay Residency is a screenplay development laboratory for feature films fiction, the first incubator of these characteristics in Catalonia, and also the first a host projects in the Catalan language and guarantee their participation.

In this second edition, we will accompany 8 projects for 9 months, offering stable mentoring and tutoring by recognized professionals, workshops and master classes that will help them to be inspired and apply techniques, meetings with the industry, talks on topics such as sustainability or inclusion, meetings with different distribution and exhibition windows... The Residence offers a scholarship that allows creators to concentrate on writing and thereby speed up the process of creation, while promoting constant dialogue and exchange between projects participants. We also focus on the importance of the internationalization of projects through training and contact with the international industry.

IThe Residence is an initiative of the Academy of Catalan Cinema in partner of Guionistes Associats de Catalunya - GAC, with funding from the ICAA - Instituto de la Cinematografía y of the Audiovisual Arts, through the European Union - NextGeneration EU within the framework of the Plan of Recovery, Transformation and Resilience; the Department of Culture of the Generalitat – ICEC - Catalan Institute of Cultural Enterprises, Barcelona City Council, DAMA, the University Ramon Llull – FCRI, Pompeu Fabra University, ESCAC, the Ramon Llull Institute and Centre d’Art i Natura de Farrera-CAN.
