Bio

Almudena Monzú is a script consultant and scriptwriter who moves between Barcelona and Madrid. She is one of the founding partners of the production company Amor y Lujo. She has acted as a mentor in the lab specialised in LGBT+ projects at the FIRE!! Festival, Queercinelab and the Residencies of the Academia de Cine (Spanish Academy of Cinema). She regularly collaborates with the Residency of the Acadèmia del Cinema Català (Catalan Academy of Cinema) and the Scriptnest film and conciliation laboratory. She has also worked with Le Groupe Ouest in its international research groups on narrative and screenwriting. As a screenwriter, she is the creator and showrunner for the series Picadero (Zeta Studios), which was shortlisted for the Co-Pro Series at the Berlinale, and she developed the series Pubertat alongside Leticia Dolera (Distinto Films). She currently works for prestigious production companies such as Suma Content and Arcadia Motion Pictures. In 2021 she was selected as one of the Talents to Watch at the Writers Campus of Series Mania and in 2023 Variety magazine chose her as one of the Spanish TV Talents to Track.
