Bio

Screenwriter and director with degrees in Audiovisual Communication and in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature. Her short film Luisa no está en casa was shown at the Venice Biennale in 2012. In 2018 she premiered her debut feature film Viaje al cuarto de una madre at the San Sebastian Film Festival, where she received the Special Mention of the Jury (New Directors) and the Youth Award. The film won the Best Screenplay prize at the Gaudí Awards and was nominated for Goya and Platino awards. For younger audiences, she created and co-wrote the animated series and film Mironins (which won a Gaudí Award and was nominated at the Goya Awards in 2022) and published the illustrated book Celia se aburre (Boolino Award 2017). She recently shot her second feature film, Los pequeños amores, which will be released in the spring of 2024. She has also worked on films by other directors such as Claudia Llosa and Pablo Berger, has collaborated as a teacher or tutor at the ESCAC and ECIB film schools and at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and is currently involved in the film teaching project "Cine en Curso".
