After arriving in Olot yesterday, the European dancers doing residencies at Faberllull began their day on Friday with a workshop led by Tomeu Vergés of Teatre Principal in Olot. The work of Tomeu Vergés and Companyia Man Drake falls somewhere between dance and theatre, but it is always focused on the body. Established in Paris, their pieces have been presented at many festivals in France, Canada, Germany, England, Czech Republic, Italy, Lebanon, Egypt and South Korea, among others. Plus, Tomeu Vergés and the members of the company have extensive teaching experience, giving numerous workshops in Spain and abroad, like the one they did today with the Faberllull residents.

Friday will continue with an informal gathering with representatives of Big Pulse Dance Alliance and Perfome Europe this afternoon over coffee at the Faberllull residence. Then the residents will go into the Olot city centre to see several shows at Sismògraf, including Bestiari Dixit, by Mireia de Querol Duran and Ursa Sekirnik; Pop, by Laura Alcalà Freudenthal, La Súbita and Irene Vicente Salas; Fairy Tales, by PoketArt; and Danceoke, by Laura Alcalà Freudenthal.
