Walk in the Guilleries massif to explore the settings of Solà’s novel
Irene Solà joined the translators on an excursion to the Guilleries and Montseny massifs to explore the various settings where the novel Et vaig donar ulls i vas mirar les tenebres unfolds. The route took them through the mountains as well as to the Guilleries museum in Sant Hilari Sacalm. Before returning to Faberllull, they made a brief stop in the village of Viladrau, where they visited Mas la Sala.
The story of the novel unfolds among the rugged and discordant mountains of a remote location in the Guilleries, where hunters of wolves, bandits, Carlists, Maquis, ghosts, beasts and demons roam.
