The Hackathon kicked off with two masterclasses. The first was by university professor Mouly Molist, focusing on pre-production for films. Molist explained how to lock down the shooting script and properly plan the shooting timings, coached the actors and directors, and gave the director, art director and cinematographer the guidelines they need to start pre-production.

In the afternoon, with film editor Ana Pfaff, the focus shifted to how to ensure good post-production, particularly preparing a good workflow and achieving concise, dynamic editing. Her explanations were especially geared towards directors, cinematographers, and art and sound directors, discussing both storytelling and technical and organisational aspects.
