Last Saturday, 25 November, in the afternoon at the Harmonia school in Olot, the violinist Abel Antón starred in an intimate concert around the concept of "musical stories", where he performed the Andante from the 2nd Sonata for solo violin by J.S. Bach, the "Danse des ombres" from Ysaÿe's 2nd Sonata for solo violin, Rachmaninoff's Vocalise and Ravel's Tzigane. A repertoire chosen especially to explain the possible links of this music with our own lives: an eternal walk, the power of the church, light and darkness, a song without words, a gypsy celebration... All this reflecting on the role of performers throughout history and questioning the musical canon that has reached our days. A concert where the audience participated not only by singing at some point, but also by asking questions at the end.
