On Saturday 15th of February, Tina Ruiz and the LGBTI association Alliberem-nos from Olot were very kind to invite me to give a reading of some of the poems featured in Amors sense casa. Poesia LGBTQ catalana (Angle, 2018), which I curated two years ago. It was really special for me, since I got to know some members of the LGBTI community in Olot, reunite with some friends that came for the occasion and have my first bilingual reading, in English and in Catalan, for my colleagues in Faber decided to come too. When I knew they would be attending the reading I didn’t hesitate to translate the poems I was going to recite for them, so they could follow the event as everyone: the voices of Francesc Garriga, Maria-Mercè Marçal, Biel Mesquida, David Vilaseca, Bel Olid and Mireia Calafell sounded for the first time also in English in the Cafè Art Fontanella XII, and the audience had the chance to buy some copies of the anthology thanks to the kindness of Irene, from El Drac bookshop, so I am delighted to think that these Loves without home have now found a roof under the reading of all the people that shared this lovely evening with us.
