On Tuesday the 25th, the residents visited the Garrotxa Regional Archives (ACGAX), a key institution in the documentary management of the region. During the visit, the operation of the Archive was explained, based on the co-management model between the Olot City Council, the Garrotxa County Council and the Generalitat de Catalunya, a way of optimizing resources and better service to the citizenship that identifies the archive as the place of custody, treatment and dissemination of documentary heritage.

The installations, funds and collections were shown to the people participating in the FaberLlull residency and generated a lot of interest and questions as it comes from different places with different documentary traditions and resources. Some showed positive surprise at the quantity and quality of the old funds, the fact that a relatively small archive had facilities such as the cold room for the audiovisual funds.

Finally, the visit ended with a sample of different photographic media from the archive where you can see the evolution of the photographic technique and, on the part of the residents, see what problems they might have when digitizing these media .
