Presentation of the book The Library of Ice by Nancy Campbell
During my visit to the Claude Academy I met with current students and presented my book The Library of Ice, with readings from both the English and Spanish editions. I spoke about my work on the culture and climate of the polar regions, especially polar ice, and the ways humans use words to understand the world around them. I also touched on the languages found in nature (such as ice cores and arboreal rings) and the traces people are leaving on the planet.
