Bio

Esther Lázaro Sanz is a researcher, playwright, actress, documentalist and theater producer. She has a PhD in Spanish Philology from the UAB. She works on research-creation methodologies about democratic memory from the theater. Her lines of research focus on the literature and theater of the 1939 Republican exile, contemporary theater and cultural journalism. She's currently PhD researcher in the Laboratoire ICTT of the Avignon Université.

Project

During my stay I will work on the presence of war on the French stages based on the selection of works that have been seen in the last five years at the Festival d'Avignon, with special attention to French playwritings, but also the international productions about this same subject and how it was its reception.
