Bio
Actress, director, teacher and theater researcher. Bachelor of Arts with a mention in Theater Acting (U. de Chile), Acting Degree (U. de Chile), Master in Theater Studies (U. Autónoma de Barcelona) and PhD in Theater Studies (U. Autónoma de Barcelona). President of the Republic Scholarship (2008-2013). His lines of research are the dramaturgies of war, the Latin American rite and Cervantes recreations. As an actress, she has acted under the direction of prominent national directors, and as director of the Teatro del Nuevo Mundo company, she has directed the plays “Dulcinea encadenada”, “Auto sacramental La Araucana” and “La cuerpa”. She has been an evaluator of the Fund for the Promotion and Development of the Performing Arts, of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, in various lines.
She is currently an academic at the Universidad del Bío-Bío, and is part of the "International Network of Latin American and European Theater Researchers" (RIITLE).
Project
I will participate as a speaker at the 2nd International Symposium on Contemporary Theater in Latin America and Europe, organized by the International Network of Latin American and European Theater Researchers (RIITLE), which focuses its attention on dramaturgies and shows of the 21st century that have dealt with the theme of war. As in the first edition, several researchers from different stage realities (European and Latin American) will address how contemporary theater has reacted to the most recent wars and their impact on society.
