Ievgeniia was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine. She graduated from the Academy of Culture. Her work included investigation the history of Kharkiv in the 20th century. For many years she studied the events of World War II in Ukraine. During the last 15 years she took part in the national project "Book of Memory of Ukraine". The aim of the project is searching for the graves of soldiers and the memorialization of participants of the WWII, an objective study of the events of that time. The results of her work can be found in books and numerous publications. Ievgeniia is a co-author and editor of the historical edition “Book of Memory of Ukraine. Kharkiv Region” (8 volumes), “The National Book of Memory of the Victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine. Kharkiv region" (Holodomor - the great famine), “Encyclopedia of Monuments of History and Culture of Ukraine”.

In the recent time I have been researching genealogy and the local history. During the last few years, I have been investigating the history of the village of Mokhnach (located near the city of Kharkiv). I made copies of many documents at Kharkiv and Kyiv archives. I collected inhabitants' stories, newspaper articles and unique photos. Now I am working on the historical book “Mokhnach: village and people (5th century BC – 21st century AD)”. I will work on my book in Faberllull.

An inspiring place

In this crazy and hectic world, there is a strong lack of peace and tranquility. Now it is very difficult to find a place where you can hide from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, be alone with yourself and your thoughts, and get creative. But I was lucky to find it.

The Faberllull residence in Olot is an amazing place that inspires you and allows you to work productively and relax your soul. Here I was able to move forward with my project and take it to the next stage of research.

In this magical place I met wonderful creative people whose personal and work experience was very interesting for me and also useful.

I am glad that I had the opportunity to have a conversation with the students of the Interlingua school. We talked not only about genealogy and history, but also shared knowledge and the results of our research with each other.

I am very grateful for this opportunity. The Faberllull is the perfect space for creativity and scientific research. The inspiration I received this week will allow me to continue my work with even more enthusiasm.
