Faberllull is running the second international Hackathon residency. Cinema Residency for Young Talent, which aims to encourage emerging voices and help them find a path to making film their profession through support, training, creation and production.
The programme aims to connect emerging Catalan filmmakers between 18 and 30 years old with filmmakers from all over the world, building a network of contacts in various countries. It is a hybrid format, with training and technical/artistic experience, in Catalan and English, in Olot and Girona. This residency is an initiative of Institut Ramon Llull with collaboration from the El Modern. Centre Audiovisual i Digital in Girona.
The main purpose of the residency is to encourage new creators with a combination of professional activities. Reinforcing technical and practical knowledge of key elements from the whole filmmaking process with personalised guidance, networking and synergies among residents.
The participants have different professional profiles within the field of cinema. Together they will shoot and edit a short film during their time at Faberllull, as well as taking masterclasses with experts in the subject.
