Bio

Xabier Despaigne is a filmmaker from the Basque Country.

Interested in cinema from a very young age, he began exploring audiovisual media as a child, teaching himself and creating his own videos, from shooting to editing.

He has a degree in Cinematography and Camera Operating from the International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV), Cuba. After that he trained as a Director of Photography at the Andoain Film and Video School (ESCIVI), in Gipuzkoa.

He has taken part in films, advertising and amateur projects, mainly in the Camera Department, although his interests lie in all aspects of cinematography from a creative perspective.

He is currently interested in new formats and means of expression related to images and movement, both collaborative and individual. He hopes to continue his personal and professional search and find new opportunities for creation and collaboration.

Project
