Bio
Marta Pawłowska has a PhD in linguistics from Jagiellonian University, Krakow and works in the university's Department of Romance Studies. Her main areas of interest and research are comparative Romance linguistics and translation. She is the author of a paper on grammatical gender and has published several articles on Judeo-Spanish, Spanish and Catalan.
She is also a translator and interpreter of Spanish and Catalan. She has translated Juan Gelman, Joan Maragall, Santiago Rusiñol, Josep Pedrals, Rolando Kattán, Monika Zgustová and Marta Carnicero, among other poets and writers, into Polish. As an interpreter, she has worked for the UN, UNESCO, the Institut Ramon Llull and the Instituto Cervantes, among others.
Project
She will translate Mireia Calafell's poems into Polish.
