Bio

Bernhard Glocksin is an author and the artistic director of the Neuköllner Oper in Berlin. He previously worked at theatres in Hannover (Germany), Zurich (Switzerland) and Salzburg (Austria) and wrote libretti and plays for these theatres with world premieres in Stuttgart - Hesse India -, Salzburg - Nosferatu -, Vienna - Julie und Jean -, Amsterdam and Berlin. In Berlin, he wrote the plays Die getauschte Schule, Der Fall Rigoletto, Rheingold Feuerland and others.

As theatre director, he commissioned Catalan artists such as Raquel Garcia Tomas, Marc Rosic, Enric Palomar and Marc Sambola, among others, to create the world premieres of plays and in cooperation with i.e. GREC festival and OCBN, which were shown in Berlin and Barcelona. In the coming months, the following plays will be performed in Berlin Haydar tanzt and, from June 2025, Tanger amor mío.
