Bio

María Eugenia Blandón has a PhD in social psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a degree in social work from the University of Barcelona (UB), specialising in feminism and gender perspective.

She has taught in Catalonia and Colombia and worked at several Catalonia NGOs on issues related to gender, gender-based violence, international cooperation, migration and peacebuilding.

For over 20 years, she has worked with groups of migrants and diasporas in Catalonia, where she has maintained close ties for the past eight years with processes of memory and peacebuilding for diasporas from countries affected by war, armed conflict and highly conflictive situations.
