Bio

Oriol Puig Playà is a director and screenwriter based in Barcelona. He holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), completed his training at the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside (England) and later attended a Directing workshop at the New York Film Academy (USA). After nearly a decade working in advertising, he transitioned to the audiovisual field, establishing himself as a freelance director, screenwriter and editor.

Alongside this, he has built a career as a short filmmaker, winning over forty awards at national and international festivals, including the Audience Award at the 18th Málaga Film Festival for It Girl. He has developed projects as a screenwriter for producers such as El Terrat, Oberon Cinematográfica and Cosmopolitan TV, and created content for the satirical newspaper El Mundo Today. Recently, he was a screenwriter for Celeste, a new series by Diego San José for Movistar+, and is currently developing Las dinámicas, a comedy series co-written with Chema García Ibarra for a streaming platform.

Project

At Faberllull, he will be working on the script for the series Frozen Eggs, co-written with Bruna Cusí.
