Bio

Bruna Cusí Echaniz is an actress born in Barcelona in 1986. In 2024, she received the “El ojo crítico” award from RNE for Cinema, was nominated for Best Actress at the Gaudí Awards and was honoured for Best Performance at the Premiers Plans 2024 festival for her role in Upon Entry. This year, she has also filmed Three Islands by Jan Ole Gester, and premièred The Blue Star by Javier Macipe (San Sebastián Film Festival), Upon Entry by Alejandro Rojas and Juan Vázquez (Independent Spirit Awards) and Golem by Burnin’ Percebes (Málaga Film Festival).

In 2018, she won the Best Emerging Actress award at the Goya Awards and Best Supporting Actress at the Gaudí Awards for her role in Estiu 1993 by Carla Simón. Her other credits include Mía y Moi by Borja de la Vega, La Reina de los lagartos by Burnin’ Percebes, Ardara by Elsabeth Produccions, the series Fácil by Anna R. Costa (Movistar+) and the series The Alienist (Netflix).

In addition, she has worked in theatre productions such as Siglo mío, bestia mía by Marta Pazos, and La omisión de la familia Coleman by Claudio Tolcachir. As a writer and director, she is developing her first feature film Temporales, produced by Moiré Films, and was a finalist at the XI Quim Masó Awards with her début play L’ocell ferit o l’ou.

At Faberllull, she will be working on the script for the series Frozen Eggs, co-written with Oriol Puig.
