Project

Ezio Vaccari will contribute to the activities of the thematic residency "Earth sciences: history, science and society", interacting with other residents and partecipating to popular and academic events. He will take part to the 18th conference of the Catalan Society of History of Science and he will present a talk on the future challenges of the history of Earth sciences. This is an open research field, with several opportunities of interdisciplinary interactions. The aim of my research project is to demonstrate that the work of the historian of the Earth sciences can be useful for contemporary science and within the society: for example, for supporting the increase of the environmental awareness within the general public.
