Bio
Marina Ketlerova is a literary translator from Catalan and Spanish into Russian and also a Russian and Catalan languages teacher. She graduated from Moscow State University in Ibero-Romance Philology and holds a master's degree in Translation Theory and comparative studies of Ibero-Romance languages.
She has translated from Catalan Canto jo i la muntanya balla, by Irene Solà (in the process of publication); A man of his word, by Imma Monsó (in collaboration with Marina Abramova and Olga Murgina); she has also translated El Cafè de la Granota, by Jesús Moncada, and fragments of El conflicte inevitable, by Matthew Tree and Fungus, by Albert Sánchez Piñol, for the literary magazine Inostranka.
She has translated from Spanish Una vez Argentina, by Andrés Neuman (in the process of publication); Puerto Escondido and Un lugar a donde ir, by María Oruña; Flower of holiness, by Ramón del Valle-Inclán.
She has been published as a writer in the literary magazine Iunost.
She used to work as a cultural moderator in Russian House in Barcelona, where she organized and moderated literary meetings.
She is currently studying for a master's degree in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature at the University of Barcelona and teaches Russian Language at the Escola Oficial d'Idiomes Drassanes.
Project
She will participate in a meeting of translators who adapt Irene Solà's novel to several different languages.
