Bio
PhD in History of Science (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, UAB), she has a Master’s Degree in History of Science: Science, History and Society (UAB) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences (UAB). She is postdoctoral researcher in the area of Economic History and Institutions at the Universidad de Zaragoza and course instructor in Master’s Degree in Philosophy for Contemporary Challenges at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She is also editor of Sabers en acció, a periodic publication on digital humanities. Her research topics focus on the analysis, from an interdisciplinary perspective, of environmental conflicts and the strategies followed to hide or make them visible, the processes of protection of natural areas and the perception of nature and landscape.
Project
During her stay at Faberllull Olot she will work on a scientific paper on the role of scientific dissemination in changing the social perception of the nature and landscape of the volcanic area of La Garrotxa and the wetlands of the Empordà, following the environmental defence campaigns that took place in these regions and which led to their declaration as protected areas in the early 1980s.
