Bio

Ana Melissa Caballero is a professional dancer from Colombia with more than 15 years’ training in ballet, jazz and contemporary dance and a long career on stage in Colombia. She teaches dance at Francisco José de Caldas District University in Colombia and has a master in Cultural Management from the International University of Catalonia.

Since 2014, she has worked as a dancer, creator, manager and producer with the DoSSoN Art en Moviment company, led by Natalia Reyes Duque, winning national and international awards. In 2019, she joined the LaMultiverse company led by Leidy AngelicaRoa, first as a dancer and then as part of the production team. She currently lives in Barcelona and works as a culture advisor for the theatre companies La Veu Ofegada Projecte Escènic and CòmicONTeatre.

She has also done co-production work with artist, researcher and creator Catalina Hernández in the United States for the RESONANT dance video, creating a collaborative project (Colombia - United States) on research and creation through dance-video. She has also worked with the Collage group in Barcelona on Remei a l’exili, a project that received support from IBERESCENA.

Project

She will participate in the Visiting Artist Program of the Sismògraf Festival, meeting with Catalan artists and programmers.
