Bio

Yasen Vasilev works in the field of contemporary dance and performance as a dramaturg, critic, and maker. His works Nutricula and Impossible Actions were developed in Asia (Shanghai and Taipei) and presented internationally. He's a regular contributor for Springback magazine and co-authored a Letter for transnational fair practice. In 2023-2024, he holds a research position at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp and a fellowship at Akademie Schloss Solitude. As dramaturg he collaborates with Belgian artists Ehsan Hemat, Milo Slayers, and Julien Carlier.

Project

At Faberllull, he will continue his research on the distribution of agency within collective bodies from the perspective of dance dramaturgy in both writing and movement research.
